What I am doing to stay positive during these tough times is just putting one foot on the floor each morning and keep getting up and doing the day over and over again. Once you get up you will see something on TV or outside that will remind you that there are people worse off than you are. I’m on disability, my husband just got laid off and there are still people that have it worse than we do.

    • Marilyn Wons

I have my faith not only in the power above me, I also have faith in myself.

    • Heather Wigfield

I always think about how much worse thigs could be, that always grounds me.

    • Charlotte Winters

I’m trying to focus on what I do have rather than what I don’t. We have alot compaired to the pain that others are facing right now.

    • Alicia Webster

It is easy for me to remain positive (even though we are dirt poor-ack!), because we have three kids who are happy and healthy, and that is all that one can ask for in life-right?
      Alicia Webster

    • Nora SP

I am staying focused that this gives us the best quality time with our children and lets me realize that with the demands that had been made prior we can have more family time.

keep say everything is going up from here on out

    • sandy

You know you just have to get up and thank God he let you see another sunrise. Life goes on, and you learn to adjust, some are not willing to change their lifestyles and have a giveme kindof attitude…my life changed when my husband became disabled…everyone around us went into a panic, but I told them calm down and we would survive- and you know what you do…live each day the best you goes on.

    • Becky

Keep thinking things could be worse, If I wake up in the morning that is a good start!

    • shannon Baas

I’m just happy that I still have a job.

I am very thankful to God I have a job and a roof over my head. Reading the books from my fave christian authors also is a great help and having faith that everything will eventually even out. Thanks for the giveaway.

My faith in God keeps me positive in knowing that God never gives us more than we can handle. He has faith in us knowing that we will get through tough times.

    • Karen E

I have my faith in God that whatever may be thrown my way isn’t more than I can handle. When the stress starts building, I grab a cat, look at nature, take time for myself and give over to God.

    • Erin

I stay positive by taking time every day to recognize what really lucky people we are – we have three lovely kids, a beautiful new home, and lots of jobs with more opportunities coming all the time. I also try to keep positive by sharing some of our incredibly good fortune with other people who could use it – keeps things in perspective for me.

    • Rachel R

I have increased my physical activity to improve my health, and to improve my mood. It is so satisfying to complete a work-out. There is such a feeling of accomplishment.
I am also very thankful that I have a job, and try to remember that things could be much worse!

    • Danielle

I am staying positive by spending more time at home with my family and having fun rather than going out and spending money.

    • Pamela S.

You have to have a positive attitude in your day to day life. I know that I may have it bad but there is always some one in a worse situation. I look at the glass as half full not half empty. I laugh every day because of my husband and love my family deeply.

    • Jen S.

I remind myself how lucky I am to have wonderful family and friends. I also think about how I am lucky to have many basic items that others do not – like a place to call home.

    • Cheri

Taking a moment to see the beauty in the world instead of focusing on the stress will help to renew everyday.

    • Renee C

Focusing on spending time with our kids rather than worrying about what we could be buying or doing if we had more money.

I guess the positive side of the situation that we might stop ourselves from spending too much. Of course that would take some fun out of life, but to stay positive, we would hope that it’s just temporary

    • Sara M

I keep remembering that all of my daily needs are being met so it really isn’t that big of a deal. We can’t eat out as often, we can’t vacation like we used to. But we have what matters: family and health. Thanks!

    • karissa

I am just working and focusing harder on things I can control. and learning new ways to save and scrimp, I think it is horrible for all of us but we are a wasteful society, so maybe this is the kick in the pants we all needed to stop being so wasteful!

    • Anne

I always put “need” before “want” and its quite surprising how much you actually “need” as compared to “want”. I live a very thrifty lifestyle by choice, I find it challenging and very rewarding. These tshirts are really inspiring!

    • amber

A lot of meditation and self pampering ;) Thanks! Great designs.

    • Tracy

I am staying positive by slowly clearing my life of clutter. Each weekend I tackle something different and will do so until every closet, drawer and space is clutter free. An uncluttered house equals an uncluttered mind. And an uncluttered mind, equals pure positve energy! Did I say yet, Oooo I love the Pure Positive Energy Shirt! :-)

    • joanna smith

In order to stay positive through these touch economic times just making simple changes to my life has actually made it seem less stressful and impactful on me. I am focusing on spending more time at home with my family and friends instead of spending money unnecessarily out in restaurants and malls. I am actually building stronger bonds with my children and friends creating new memories that revolve around the simpler things in life, such as creating savory meals at home together, watching videos in the comfort of our home rather than the theatre and these simple changes are making me realize what is really important in life, and that is spending quality time with the people you love, and not what material things you can add to your life! Thank you for letting me share this with you all!

    • Karen Gonyea

      Thinking positive :)

That’s easy: I’m remaining thankful. I think we don’t keep in mind the other countries that are in poverty. Here, if you lose your cable then you’re in the poor house. It’s sad. We’re such an ungreataful nation.

    • Christina G.

I just completed 48 weeks of chemo and learned early on to stay focused and positive. This made the grueling treatment much easier on me. I’ve learned to push any negative thoughts out of my head. As soon as a negative thought enters then I think of a positive in my life and not allow the negative to stay. It took a bit of practicing but it’s automatic now. I will continue with positive thoughts to get through the financial crisis. After what I just endured, I know I can overcome anything.
