Sulfate Free Hair With L’oreal EverPure

For anyone who colors their hair, you know what a drag it is when the color starts fading and it hasn’t even been a few weeks. Sulfates found in most hair care products are the true enemy and rob our locks of its natural moisture which leaves it feeling dry.

If you take the time to read the ingredient list on a shampoo or conditioner chances are you will find at least lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate. Up until these newest products from L’Oreal Paris, there has not been a drugstore brand to date that has ever created a sulfate-free formula until EverPure.

As someone who is a fanatic when it comes to her hair, I am all over any hair products that are sulfate free. For a while I was using Nanoworks from Pureology, an amazing shampoo and conditioner for colored hair, but at nearly $50 a bottle I had to re-think the price. So when I heard about the EverPure shampoo and conditioner of course I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to try them both. Each are scented with rosemary, while the shampoo is infused with juniper, and the conditioner with a touch of mint.

So far my color still looks good, and it has been a little over a month. I am still deciding whether or not I like the shampoo, (a little drying), but am wondering if my color will begin fading if I stop using. The conditioner on the other hand is fabulous and leaves my hair feeling smooth and shiny. Either way the good news is that L’oreal has gotten on the sulfate-free bandwagon and we are likely to see other over the counter brands get on board too.

Amazing shampoo and conditioner…I use the Smoothing collection (they make it in Moisturizing or Smoothing.) It makes my frizzy, curly, dry, color treated hair smooth and soft. I also love the smoothing serum. So happy for these products!!!

I love the moisturizing conditioner. My hair tends to be on the dry side and this does the job.

Everpure shampoo and conditioner are fabulous. For those of us with sulfite/sulfate sensitivities, it is the answer to a prayer. I hope it is a huge success. I can’t wait to try to the hair color.

So many people are sensitive to sulfates and this is the answer to their hair looking great all the time.

i love the product, but it has sodium lauryl sulfoacetate which is SULFATE. Isnt this false advertising on their part? I have the brazilian keratin hair treatment, and you are not supposed to use shampoo with sulfate. I have beenn using it and realized the treatment is coming off sooner than it supposed to.

Actually, lauryl sulfoacetate is a naturally occurring sulfate that is SAFE for hair. Try reading about the ingredient. The harmful ingredients are manufactured sulfates that are harsh detergents.

L’Oreal often does pull false advertising. They rely on their celebrities to sell the product and it seems to work. Gets me to buy it sometimes. I haven’t tried this product but may since reading your reviews.

I like this product very much. I live in Brazil, and i want to know where I can buy this product.

I’m actually allergic to Sulfa medications and have found that sulfate’s in topical products also cause a mild reaction. L’Oreal’s product is a God send! I would get dry scalp for no reason that even dandruff shampoos couldn’t cure, because they’re loaded with SULFATES! Wonderful stuff!

Shame that so many people recommend L’Oreal. I am looking for sulphate-free but will not be using this as L’Oreal test on animals. So, maybe good for YOUR hair but perhaps not for 1000′s of lab animals :-(
