Etsy Weekend: Sea Glass Jewelry

It’s the weekend, so that means it’s time to visit Etsy… It’s been awhile since I wrote about sea glass jewelry. Sea glass is made when a piece of glass somehow finds it’s way into the ocean, the current moves the glass along the sandy sea bottom. Time and the sand smooth the sharp edges of the glass.

Some of the glass is very old, from ships hundreds of years ago. It’s beautiful, almost like a stone, but it’s not – it’s frosted-looking glass. I love it and I look for it whenever I walk the shore.

The Sea Find Designs  shop at Etsy has some beautiful sea glass jewelry. The pendant measures 1 3/4 inches and the chain is 18 inches. I like this piece because it has a simple rustic look to it. It’s on sale today!
