LOFT Summer 2010 Preview

Thanks to an exclusive blogger preview of LOFT’s (formerly known as Ann Taylor LOFT) Summer 2010 collection, I have a new store to add to my weekly shopping routine.

When I was in junior high school, my mother styled me in “little miss” blazers, skirts, and dresses from Ann Taylor.  As I grew older, however, the store fell off my radar. From what I saw at yesterday’s preview, LOFT is a trendier, more casual spin on the classic brand.  Better yet, most LOFT items are under $100!

Loft Summer 2010 collection features chunky statement jewelry paired with wearable basics.

Fashion expert and stylist Jorge Ramon describes the summer collection as “totally accessible and fabulous.”

To help jump start my LOFT shopping experience, I will be entered in a mystery gift card drawing where I can win up to $500 (keep your fingers crossed for me)!

Here are a few highlights of LOFT’s Summer 2010 collection:

For early summer, the collection focuses on dress statements in aquatic shades and tropical prints.  I love the beach getaway-ready “Sailing Ferns Maxi Dress” ($98) pictured in Look #1.

Beginning in June, LOFT’s Summer 2010 collection will incorporate mix-and-match separates in neutral, Safari, and animal prints.  In Look #3, I love the pink Pocket Tank ($29.50) paired with an Ornate Zebra Pencil Skirt ($69.50), and Skinny Braided Belt ($29.50).

I like the LOFT clothing. They have great basics with a bit more trendy of a style than regular Ann Taylor. I haven’t seen dressy dresses like the ones you showed! (Haven’t been there in a while, but also generally just focus on what I am looking for) Very nice.
