Backstage Beauty: Georges Chakra Fall 2010

It’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York and while I can’t cover as many of the Fall 2010 shows as I would like, I am hitting the Tents this weekend to bring as many backstage beauty looks to Makeup Minute that I can.

First up today? Georges Chakra, which was keyed by MAC Senior Artist Gregory Arlt.

For the Chakra show, Arlt collaborated with the designer (it’s their third season working together) to create a look inspired by Russian aristocracy and vampires, a look he dubbed “Glampire.” Clever, yes?

For the Glampire look, think icy, matte skin, a toned down brow, gorgeous lashed and a rich, bloodstained lip.

The final look seen here on the runway was dramatic, though wearable, don’t you think?
