Two of the hottest shows during New York’s Fashion Week were presented by famous designer Tracy Reese and “Project Runway” alum Korto Momolu.
Reese, known for her feminine, flirty designs, showed a harder edge with her Fall ’10 collection.
Her models sauntered down the runway to the ’70s funk of Rufus featuring Chaka Khan in clingy sweater dresses with zipper details in earth tones, and a few of her signature sweet dresses in pastel colors.
Meanwhile, African music provided the soundtrack for Korto’s runway presentation, which showcased signature coats, sweaters and figure-flattering dresses in vibrant and muted shades. Keeping it all in the fashion reality show family, many of Korto’s models were graduates of “America’s Next Top Model.”
