Milan Fashion Week: Fall 2010 at Moschino

It was a blast from the past as urban cowboy (cowgirl perhaps?) met the eighties at the Fall and Winter 2010 runway show from Moschino as part of Milan Fashion Week.

Models sported black cowboy hats and bold red lipstick while the jewelry was bold and chunky.  The collection was filled with sleek black leather accessories like over-sized belts and gloves, going from wrist to all the way up past elbows.

The necklaces were an interesting combination of heart motifs and tassels – which somehow ended up with almost a tribal feel to it.

Both the hoop earrings and bangle bracelets were gold, simple and over-sized.

There is something that reminds me of vintage Chanel with this combination of quilted handbag with a chain handle and a silk scarf tied in a bow:

Moschino certainly put a twist on it with the seriously chunky chain – but I don’t think Chanel ever sent models down the runway wearing cowboy hats…
