Oscar Prep: Homemade Vitamin C Face Wash

As you know, I’m counting down the days (OK, hours) until I head out to LA to live blog the Oscars!

This means starting my prep now. Carrie Latt Wiatt is a Hollywood Nutritionist who recently helped Fergie lose the weight she gained while filming the movie Nine, and she was gracious enough to share a face wash she created that you can make right at home.

The vitamin C content helps with the collagen in your skin, perfect for pre-Oscars glamour!

Here’s what you do:

Grind half of one grapefruit in the blender (peel included) with a splash of milk and some sugar. Blend until mixture is well combined. Heat the blended mixture in the microwave until just warm. Stir until thickened. Spread the mixture over your face, lightly rubbing the sugar into your skin until it dissolves. Rinse.

I just tried it, and my skin already feels softer and smoother – and it’s so so easy!

This sounds nice. If we don’t have a grapefruit on hand, can we use a different citrus fruit instead?
