5 Teen Angst Movies To Watch This Holiday (And Five More)

It’s the day after the 4th of July! There’s a good chance you have the day off work. Sure, you could go “outside” to interact with “people” but it’s hot out. And it’s so cool inside, isn’t it? And your television has people on it, too. People who aren’t all sweaty. To insure that you spend the day glued to your couch, MSNBC has published a list of their top 5 teen angst movies . They’re Rebel Without A Cause, American Graffiti, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Breakfast Club and Say Anything. You may have noticed they forgot a few, including:

Sixteen Candles: Her entire family forgot her birthday. And then a nerd bought her underwear. Oh, and it stars Molly Ringwald. It’s pretty much the definition of teen angst.

Heathers: “Dear Diary, my teen angst bullshit now has a body count.”

The Craft: A movie to make you glad that your 13 year old fascination with Wicca was so short lived.

The Virgin Suicides: Sofia Coppola makes teen angst and despair ridiculously beautiful.

Clueless: Okay, it’s not really angsty. But it would still be fun to watch.
