Tough Decision: Blackberry or iPhone?

Yesterday I left my phone in a cab.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with taxi cabs in New York, this was basically a death sentence for my phone. I was in such a rush and forgot my blackberry on the black seat cushions. I noticed my mistake the second I saw the cab rush off. I frantically searched through my bag, hoping for a glimpse of my beloved phone. But it wasn’t there.

It should be noted that this is not the first time this has happened. It’s not even the second time. The past year I have managed to go through four Blackberry’s. My dad got so frustrated by my irresponsibility that he told me the next person to buy me a phone will be my husband. I don’t even have a boyfriend.

So now I have a dilemma. I have an upgrade to get a new cell phone in a week. Until then, I am using an old-fashioned flip phone (that’s a whole other post right there) where its only capabilities is making phone calls. So what should I do? Stick with my beloved and trusted Blackberry or branch out and try an iPhone?

A new study shows that iPhone users have more sex, keep that in mind!

It really depends. The iPhone is probably better if you don’t mind switching to AT&T, but it also has a touch screen, which can be a bitch. Especially if, like me, you have long fingernails that mean you have to use the pads of your fingers instead of the tips. I’d get an iPhone if it had a regular keypad, but the combination of touch screen and .2 second battery life keeps me away.

I have a blackberry myself but only because it was given to me by my boyfriend….personally I would go with the iphone because it so much more esthetically appealing.

One of my jobs is as a personal assistant. I use a Palm Pre. Other than not being as customizable/hackable as I like my experience with any OS to be, AWESOME phone. Touch screen, keyboard, great web/email capabilities, can store my music on it, stream Pandora, has a decent selection of apps, okay onboard camera, etc.

I would go with a Blackberry since AT&T does not give iPhone users unlimited data plans. Blackberry users get it though.
