Kate Gosselin Makes More Than Jon Hamm, Anna Paquin, and Snooki

TV Guide just released their annual list of how much your favorite TV stars make per episode, and the results will ick you out.

Kate Gosselin earns $250,000 per episode of TLC’s Kate Plus Eight. I guess she is getting whatever they used to pay Jon in addition to her own fee? That’s pretty upsetting, considering how much some other stars – who can actually act and don’t seem to be heinous human beings – take home. Here’s a partial list:

  • Jon Hamm, Mad Men: $100,000
  • Ian Somerhalder, Vampire Diaries: $40,000
  • Jane Lynch, Glee: $50,000
  • Patrick Dempsey, Grey’s Anatomy: $250,000
  • Anna Paquin, True Blood: $75,000
  • Betty White, Hot in Cleveland: $75,000
  • David Duchovny, Californication: $200,000
  • Tina Fey, 30 Rock: $300,000
  • Ed O’Neill, Modern Family: $100,000
  • Snooki, Jersey Shore: $30,000

In other words, Kate Gosselin makes more money than Don Fucking Draper. I don’t want to live in a world where something like that can happen. Anna Paquin has an Oscar and she earns less than Kate? Who wants to join me in starting a Support The Celebrities Lemonade Stand?

Kate rocks! Way to Go, Girl! She earns every penney of her money. Kate Gosselin is a strong, classy woman and I have a lot of respect & admiration for her. She has dealt with unbelievable issues the last few years and did it with CLASS. I hope only wonderful things come her way. BTW, if you don’t care for her, simply change the channel. No one is holding a gun to your head!

The worst thing about this bitch is how she always whines and complains about needing money to take care of her kids. Sweetie, we all know you just leave them with the nanny while you go out and spend your money on overpriced hair extensions and botox. $250,000 a year would be more than enough, and $250,000 per episode is just ridiculous.

I never understood the appeal of reality tv shows that are just about people living their own lives, so I had no idea who Kate or Jon Gosselin was until they split up and started acting like vulgar, tasteless fake celebrities. It wouldn’t bother me so much except that they’re submitting – and have submitted since infancy – their children to their tacky, tabloidy lifestyle. Thereby teaching their kids that you don’t actually have to have skills to have a career.
