In case Beverly Hills hasn’t gotten enough hype in the past 20 years, here’s another way to celebrate the infamous 90210 zip code: the city of Beverly Hills, in conjunction with JT Brands of Long Beach, will be releasing a “souvenir fragrance line” guaranteed to make you smell like a 90201 gal. Pam Danziger, a marketing expert, said, “When I think of Beverly Hills, I think of ground zero in conspicuous consumption lifestyle. Every city has souvenirs, so for Beverly Hills, why not some perfume? This fragrance will sell for a whopping $120 a bottle, and will hit stores January. A men’s line is expected to come later, and will cost $75 a bottle. With Bravo’s newest Real Housewives franchise, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, premiering this Thursday, let’s hope this new fragrance won’t cast hexes on all who buy it, and force unsuspecting consumers into overzealous plastic surgery and embarrassing public divorces. Just in case you don’t feel like a Beverly Hills girl at heart, here are some other scents we think would be suitable for other Real Housewives cities and states:
