Poll: Is There an Age Limit on Posing Nude?

We all know by now about Kim Kardashian’s nude W cover. And we know that it’s not the first time she’s posed butt-ass, and it’s not the first time someone in her family has.

But apparently, Kim told Us Weekly that “I wanted to get it all out of my system before I turned 30,” because after that, she would be too old.

Um, first of all, ouch for her mom! Second of all, she’s turning 30 on Thursday, and so I guess that at the stroke of midnight, her body will morph into some sort of gnarled, lumpy tree stump of a thing and that will be the last we ever see of her.

Or, she’s an asshole.

But what do I know? I want to know what you think!

Sorry! This poll is now closed.

I don’t think she’s saying that her body will start to suck the moment she turns 30…(hell, Cindy Crawford did Playboy when she was 32 and sure turned heads)…just that maybe she expects to start acting like a “grown-up” when she hits her 30s. And I guess grown-ups don’t pose naked. Personally, I don’t care how old someone is; if she wants to pose, and someone wants to photograph her, and someone else wants to look at the photographs…sure.

I will always and forever love Calendar Girls. I think anyone should be able to take it off. I know that when I’m 60 I’ll kill for the body I have now, but I don’t feel comfortable posing nude. If you feel comfortable doing it, rock on.

I personally prefer nude portraits of people who are slightly older. There’s a kind of vulnerability that a person who has experienced more life shows better than someone who hasn’t lived as much. That being said, a person’s age doesn’t dictate the amount of life they’ve experienced. There’s just something gorgeous about people being that open when they aren’t at their physical peak.

But as far as I’m concerned, wrinkles only make a nude portrait more beautiful.
