My home team the San Francisco Giants are in the World Series this year, so that’s really cool. The Giants emerged from Game 1 victorious last night and first baseman Aubrey Huff credited an unusual good luck charm for the 11-7 win: his thong underwear.
Huff first donned the undergarment at the end of August, when the Giants needed to win 20 of the final 30 games. It was then he “looked at the thong, looked at his teammates and decided that desperate times called for desperate measures.” Why the thong was hanging around a professional baseball team (or to whom it belonged) is anyone’s guess.
“Over time,” Huff adds, “It’s actually gotten pretty comfortable.” Congratulations, Professional Baseball Player: you are now better at certain woman stuff than I.
