Friday Style Icon: Marianne Faithfull

Marianne Faithfull has done a lot of cool stuff and some crazy shit also. She co-wrote “Sister Morphine.” She did the original version of “As Tears Go By” after the Stones’ manager gave it to her. She made Broken English. She recorded the super creepy theme song to that unnerving French movie about stealing dreams from kids. She inexplicably collaborated with Metallica, which I guess I’m actually pretty ambivalent about. She once did a bunch of drugs at Keith Richards’ house and then when the cops showed up, she answered the door dressed in nothing but a fur rug. “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” is about her. She played God on AbFab.

And through it all, she’s looked fucking rad.

Here’s a gallery of the 60′s style icon’s coolest looks from her heyday.
