Red Carpet Rundown: The Worst Dressed At The Golden Globes

Dresses with liver spots, cleavage cages, prom vomit from the 80′s and the always reliable Helena Bonham Carter. Let’s all be glad we don’t have vengeful stylists.

If you need a little more positivity in your life, here are our choices for best dressed. Or, if you need to decompress, relax your senses with the most boring and uninspired looks here.

I agree with everyone on this list except Helena Bonham Carter. I just feel like outrageously bad dressing is her thing, and she doesn’t give a shit. She’s in a whole separate league.

    • Ashley Cardiff

You’re right, I agree. This is just what we expect from her, but at the same time, the shoes. THE SHOES. She’s like the anti-Tilda Swinton. No matter what happens, they will both bring the crazy.

  • Chelsea

Christina Aguilera and Halle Berry looked beautiful. I personally don’t think they belong on this list.

  • Tobi

I have to say, I don’t think I hate Julianne Hough’s dress. I like the detail around the neck.

  • Megan

I’m with Lilit on Bonham Carter. Also, I’m pretty sure the shoes were the same style of shoe–carefully dyed different colors. I gotta respect anyone who goes that far in the name of fashion fuckery.

  • Kat

January’s dress was amazing, and so was Leah ‘s. I agree with the other picks, though.

  • Nichole

This is the best commentary on Golden Globes fashion I’ve seen. Straight to the point, honest, and hilarious. Love it!!!! Thanks Ashley, I agree with every comment!

I actually likes Lea Michelle. And Helena Bonham Carter. You just know that she plans to dress oddly.

  • Colleen

I am not a fan of the quirkily dressed, in general, but I actually enjoyed Helena Bonham Carter this year. It was a nice break from the sea of neutral/peach/nude blah-ness that we kept seeing on the red carpet.

I’m actually surprised that we didn’t see one of the interviewers from the red carpet, I think she was from NBC…Alexa someone-or-other, who was wearing what looked to be an old-lady night gown, in red. Very unflattering. I’m no fashion plate, but if I were ever to be on a red carpet, I’d make sure someone was dressing me to make me look AMAZING.

    • Colleen

As in, I’m surprised that Alexa didn’t make the worst-dressed list.

  • Tracy

I LOVED this dress and capelet! The dress was extremely simple letting the lovely crystals on the capelet really shine. Loved it!

I liked Julianna Hough’s dress also. Simple with a cool neck treatment.
