Do You Carry Mascara In Your Purse?

According to this chart, 95% of women do, daily. I don’t. Who else doesn’t? I don’t want to be the only one. – The Daily Mail

I don’t! How would you reapply that without it getting all clumpy? Lip balm is my only daily make up in my purse, and I don’t even think that counts. Concealer on bad pimple days. Other than that, no other make up in my purse.

That’s what I was thinking. If you’ve already globbed on your mascara in the morning, I’d imagine applying more throughout the day would get nasty and gunky. I carry lip balm too, some body lotion and a perfume roller.

  • Eve

I don’t either! I actually don’t wear mascara that often because usually I’m either a) wearing my glasses, and if I wore mascara my eyelashes would bump into the lenses, or b) wearing contacts because I’m about to go take a dance class or something else that would get me sweaty and make any makeup I was wearing get all melty.

  • Lucia Peters

Nope. Can’t be bothered to reapply. Because I’m lazy. Who else is with me?

  • Dolls Factory

I don’t and I can talk for all the girls I know.
    You can’t re-apply mascara

I would assume more women would carry lip balm in their purse than mascara. For me, mascara is a one-and-done type of thing that I do in the morning.

Only if I’m in New York, wherein I carry a make up kit with me at all times because it’s a pain in the ass to go back to the UWS (where I stay) to freshen up for the night’s debauchery. (My kit, however, is incredibly efficient and takes up very little room in my purse.)

i wanna know who’s paying 20 quid for mascara. That’s over $32 for a tube of mascara. I balk at paying more than $7.

Lip balm, lipstick if I’m wearing it that day, and sometimes eyeliner if I’m going to be out of the house all day (because it smears). Never mascara.

  • Allison

I don’t! When it is off, it’s off. I just pray it doesn’t settle below my eyes for the sexy raccoon look.

  • Meg

Nope, no mascara. Usually I carry chapstick, lip gloss, perfume & a mini travel eyelash curler.

  • Ally

I don’t reapply mascara during the day… but I DO carry about five or six different lipsticks/balms around with me.

me neither. i don’t know why i believe mascara shouldn’t be reaplied(some hygiene paranoia that says me the little brush should be used only on clean lashes )

  • Katie

Geez, half the time I can’t even be bothered to apply mascara in the first place. I used to when I was in highschool and super self-conscious.

  • Leah

This is one of those surveys designed to sell makeup (“tell women that they aren’t really women unless they carry expensive makeup with them at all times and then they’ll buy tons of of it!”). The only one that makes sense is lip balm, because chapped lips are painful.

I have a REALLY hard time believe that 95% of women do ANYTHING consistently. Except maybe menstruate (and only in the right age groups). Totally bullshitery.

  • Quin

I carry all but three of those in my purse… Dang. Brushes, nail varnish, and bronzer will not be found in my purse.
But yeah, I have a little makeup bag with lots of that stuff in it. What can I say…

  • Shelby

Mascara has a higher percentage than lip balm and powder? What kind of women are they talking to?

  • L

Nope. Nothing, actually. And I mean nothing. Probably because I never leave the house.

  • Corissia

I carry lip balm, eye shadow most days and once in a while I toss a tube of lipstick in. I never carry mascara though. I put it on before I go out, it’s not like you need to reapply it during the day.

  • Steph

I don’t! I’ve never seen the need to reapply it during the day. It never comes off for me, even with good eye makeup remover!

  • j

i do when im sleeping somewhere that isnt my house. wash off icky stuff, reapply next morning.

I actually have a cute little mascarra on one side eyeshadow pencil on the other that stays in the purse. I don’t normally wear makeup to work so if I spontainiously decide to go out right after work I’m go to go in 5 minutes.
