Men’s Fashion for Women: Why Men Should Dress like Bogart, Gable, and Other Old Studs

By Kyle Vucko and Heikal Gani

Too often men plan the perfect Valentine’s Day only to show up in ill-fitting clothes – everything is too tight or too baggy, and there’s nothing particularly romantic about wearing jeans that are tighter than your girlfriend’s jeggings or so loose that your underwear is peeking out.

Instead of following these trends, for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, we at Indochino.com, an online men’s custom tailoring destination, advise men to hearken back to the Golden Age of Hollywood for tips on putting together a killer outfit. And what better way to get men to be more stylish than by appealing to their better halves?

So, ladies, if you’re looking for ways to talk to your boyfriend/husband/significant other about being timelessly fashionable, read on.

Thank goodness someone with influence is finally telling them! I’ve dropped so many hints to the men around me (who know I am an Old Movie Freak).

I, too, would love to see and overall return to Old Hollywood… both in fashion AND manners. I adore all things old-fashioned!

PS- Jimmy Stewart is pretty much my dream man. I kid you not! Too many viewings of “Harvey” and “It’s A Wonderful Life” as a child have taken their toll and skewed my idea of what a guy should act/look/dress like, I suppose.

I totally love Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable. ((((sigh))))) Classic cuties!

As a man, this is great to hear! Class never goes out of style. I live in Madison,WI, probably the capitol of shlubby chic when it it comes to mens fashion. It never fails-I see a beautiful womanat a restuarant and by her side there is some guy who looks like he’s going out to eat at McDonalds.

Umm, how about “there are few women out there who DON’T wish their man could dance like him” !!
