Red Carpet Rundown: The Best Dressed At The 2011 Grammys

It’s red carpet fashion. Not only that, it’s red carpet fashion at the Grammys. So. By “Best Dressed” we really mean “The Most Not Immediately Hideous Or Outrageously Boring.” Let’s see what we can do.

This is a great public forum to apologize for things I’ve said about Kelly Osbourn’s recent weight loss. Kelly- I’m sorry. You really do know what’s best for you and I don’t. You are clearly rocking this stage of your career and I’m sorry I made the assumption that you did your journey the “wrong” way.

That said- a good rule of thumb for you might be “If Tara Reid has ever had this hairstyle it’s probably not right for me.”

I’m sick of Lea Michele’s sternum.

I keep trying to like Florence Welch’s dress, but it just reminds me too much of Bjork at the Oscars.

Actually…it kind of looks like what Bjork’s dress wants to be when it grows up. So maybe I like it after all.

I love Margaret Chos dress. I have never seen her look so good. She looks fantastic! Is it McQueen?

Cho is wearing the design of my good friend, one Mr. John Renaud. Doesn’t she look lovely? I’m so proud of him!!!

several of these are just “actually i don’t even like the dress, but look how great she looks now that she’s not a fatty anymore!!!!” that’s not a best-dressed list, that’s just projecting an obsession with thinness.

I think this is a legitimate point (though lazily couched in snark). However, I think Jennifer’s dress is pretty fucking ugly (so, next time she’d be in worst dressed with a “but she looks pretty” disclaimer) while Kelly’s dress is neither particularly good, bad or ugly, but she looks pretty and the color suits her.
