A First Look At The Met’s ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ Exhibit

Alexander McQueen is one of our all-time favorite fashion designers. Therefore, we (like pretty much everyone else who appreciates a beautiful dress) can’t wait for the upcoming Met exhibit that celebrates his life’s work. It’s called Savage Beauty and will open in May. According to Vogue UK:

Samantha Cameron and Anna Wintour gathered London’s fashion press at the Ritz this morning – the site of Alexander McQueen’s first post-graduate show – to unveil Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, the exhibition to be held at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute; which will be launched by this year’s Met Ball on May 2.

Pictured is one of McQueen’s greatest pieces, the Oyster dress. But if that doesn’t satisfy you (it shouldn’t!), head over to British Vogue and take a look at the slideshow.

Because it is stunning.
