Emmanuelle Alt’s First French ‘Vogue’ Cover Is Here

The time has come for our first glimpse of Emmanuelle Alt’s debut issue of Vogue Paris. Alt, who took over after Carine Roitfeld’s mysterious departure, chose Gisele Bundchen (looking at lot more like herself than yesterday) in a sexy white Dolce and Gabbana dress, as photographed by powerhouse duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matatin.

Do you think this is a promising first step for the magazine’s new direction?

Oh wow. This SUUUUUUUUCKKS. Model we’ve seen 8 billion times already + awkward, stupid pose + transparent clothing in the middle of a public road for no reason, making no statement + too much airbrushing… I’m soooo disappointed. I thought Alt was cool.

I admired Roitfeld until she did some tasteless things, and I thought Alt would have Roitfeld’s creativity but with better taste. Looks like she’s trying to be the next Anna Boring Wintour.
