Do You Have Nude Photos Floating Around?

According to recent reports, hackers have targeted a number of female celebs by breaking into their cell phones in search of nude photos. Among those who were targeted successfully — and whose naked pictures were then supposedly leaked onto the internet — are  Scarlett Johansson, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens (again), Ali Larter and Busy Phillips. We haven’t confirmed the hack by doing a Google search, but feel free.

That is, of course, a terrible, major invasion of privacy, and the hackers should certainly be stopped. But the question I really want an answer to is this: why does every single young starlet in Hollywood have nude pictures of herself on her phone? I mean, to read about it, it’s as if photos of these chicks in the buff are like any other set of promotional images that they might have lying around: here’s her headshot, here’s her reel, and here are her naked pictures.

Look — I’ll be forthcoming here. It’s possible that I have, somewhere in my possession, some pictures of myself with not as much clothing on as I normally wear. But I don’t happen to think I’m in the majority, and the photos are not, and never will be, on my phone, and also, I’m not an actress. It just seems weird to me that this is reported with such a blasé attitude — it’s as if I’ve completely missed some huge trend in which everyone now carries around nude pics of themselves in their pocket, because, well, you never know!

What about you? Do you have nude pics on your phone, or anywhere?

Excellent question. As a Gen M, I have been asked dozens of times (by dudes I was boning) to take some racy pics. I never have. Because I know that once something is in digital form, it can never, NEVER be erased. And I want to be the first female prez… ya know?

If I had the body of Scarlett Johansson, you bet your ass I would photograph it naked.

My fiance is a black and white film photographer (no digital). I posed for him once for a local show he had a couple of years ago which featured all nudes. So my ass (and several other bits) hung on a public gallery wall for a couple of years. I don’t keep those shots at the ready on my cell phone though.

I suppose it depends who takes the pictures and how much control you have over existing copies. If you trust your partner (or friend, if you just want such a picture of yourself), then why not? But having them on a phone does seem a bit risky.

As for them never being erased… If YOU are the only one with a copy, then it’s more than easy to do that…

I’m a little surprised Vanessa Hudgens didn’t learn her lesson the first go-round, ya know? Maybe she likes the attention.

My fiance has some (when I’m away, I’d much rather he do his thing to pictures of me instead of finding pictures online), but he stores them in his email. That could still get hacked, but really, what’s safe? Printed copies could be found just as easily. Dirty pics are always dangerous, but that’s part of what makes them so fun.

Yes, I’ve had a set done.
