Vote For The Best (And Worst) Royal Wedding Dress

We still don’t know what Kate Middleton’s wedding gown is going to look like – even if Olivier Theyskens does. But we’re excited to see how it compares to some of these historic royal wedding dresses. Who had the best one? And, perhaps more excitingly, who had the worst?

I don’t really like any of them but if I had to choose, my fav would be Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.

Diana looked nice enough at her wedding, but let’s consider these facts:

      1) She was 5’10″ inches tall.
      2) She lost so much weight before the wedding that her waist measurement for the dress was apparently only 23″.

Again, she certainly didn’t look BAD at her wedding, but we’re dealing with a 20-year-old girl who had a model’s body. That dress did absolutely nothing for her.

At least you didn’t say that it looked like a pile of used paper towels.

My favorite royal wedding gown I have seen is not here! I really admired Sarah Fergusen’s dress, (Prince Andrew). 1986. 2nd is Queen E II. 1947. And Diana’s is ok,given the times. loved the over the top train, but not the mock 1600′s style. we cant see all of the dress we are giving opinions on here. but my least fav was Sweden’s and my favorite here was GREECE. although hard to see details.

Princess Mette-Marit is kickass! Apparently she was a super hard partier, met the prince, had to do princess lessons and apologize to the people of Norway for her “wild youth”. Moral of the story: party hard, STILL marry a prince!

I kind of hate veils. But every time I see Princess Grace’s, I feel like maybe I should have one at my wedding.

Mary is number 1. FULL STOP. Beautiful dress. Gorgeous veil and her upswept hairstyle. Where can we find pics that show the finer close-up details of the dresses as no photos capture anything other than far shots.
