Red Carpet Rundown: The Best Dressed At The 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala

Last night saw the 2011 Costume Institute Gala, the focus of which was the life and work of the late Alexander McQueen. In terms of fashion, the Gala is the red carpet event of the year. Thanks to McQueen’s influence, it was also pretty exciting. Here are the night’s best dressed.

See the evening’s worst dressed.

Chloe does not look cute. Bad hair, cute makeup, but REALLY? Colonel Sanders bow tie? Gross. And the cut of the dress isn’t flattering, especially when put next to Michelle’s which makes her look statuesque and beautiful.

Mostly everyone looked stunning! Really didn’t like Kristen Stewart’s dress, Christina Ricci looked okay, and Chloe did not look good lol.

Good to see that I’m not the only one who hated Chloe’s outfit and lack of hair/makeup.

Love all of your pics…but where is Diane Kruger? She was my best dressed of the night! What did you think?

I kind of feel like the Met Costume Institute Gala is Halloween for fashion people…

Ricci was my favorite, but I love everything about her <3

Karen Elson’s dress was my favourite! She looked like a sophisticated gypsy queen, if such a thing is possible.

And I loved Madonna’s throwback to the 30′s! Retro Glam FTW!

But I HATE Christina Ricci’s dress! She is just too petite! I thought she was KNEELING in that picture, that dress just ate her up! Maybe on a taller person, or if the proportions were different, it would have been nicer. Yikes!

I thought that Chloe’s dress made her look like a rockin hot byatch! Not a huge fan of the hairstyle but the fit of the dress was dead sexy!
