United Nude’s Flat Pack Shoe: The Shoe You Can Assemble

The crazy shoe architects over at United Nude have gone and made a shoe you can put together yourself! Inspired by the moon!

Flat Pack Shoe is United Nude’s contribution to Moon Life project initiated by performance artist Alicia Framis, basically it debates humans living on the Moon and in the Universe by creating objects they could use in every day life. Flat Pack shoe is meant to be used both indoors and outdoors, United Nude designers had in mind earth and zero gravity conditions and to make this light shoe even easier to travel with you would have to assemble it out of a flat package.

Look, I’m kind of unclear on whether or not one can actually buy/wear these things, but for the time being, I’ll believe United Nude has created the first accessible build-your-own space shoes. Here’s what assembly looks like…

I wouldn’t trust wearing a show that I had to put together myself for fear that it would break and I would be embarrassed.
