Your Guide To A Painless Bikini Wax

Oh, that’s right, it’s summer again. I guess now is the time for all the waxing, huh? Okay.

This weekend we tried the bikini wax at Bliss which was spectacular. They use a type of wax that only clings to your hair, not your skin, so it doesn’t have that “ripping off a bandaid” stinging feel. We’re fans. And you should look up one of their spa locations here! But we undertand that not everyone had $70 to spend on a Brazilian, so you’re going to go to a more mid-level salon, here are a few things you can do to get in and out and smoothly as possible.

I’m not so sure about the advil thing. My bikini waxer advised against it, especially if it’s your first time with a new waxer. Apparently it can mask the ‘warning signs’ of a wax going wrong (too harsh, ripping skin… and all of that awfulness).

LIES, this shit is never painless. I actually patted my bush just now like “don’t worry, I’m just reading this ’cause I think Jennifer might make some funny jokes, nothing’s gonna happen to you.”
