NSFW: Is Nudity Appropriate In Any Of These Ads?

Look. We all realize that perfume ads = tons of naked time! Because I guess there is no way to reveal perfume’s effect on us without having it cover a woman’s ladybits. When I think “fragrance” I think “pudenda.” That is what I think. But you know what I don’t think when I see a storage ad? “Naked woman being naked.” Until now! Which of these ads strike you as being for products that should feature nudity? All of them, right?

I can accept some of them, but the Versace jeans ad does not appear to feature any jeans at all. It’s one thing if a naked body improves the appearance of your product, but if your product does not appear at all, you need to rethink the ad.

Are you aware that in every slideshow you feature, if one clicks the “start slideshow” it just brings up a blank page? Same thing happens sometimes when clicking straight to the first slide – one has to click into the second picture and then roll back to the first.

huh, that’s strange – I have no problem at all…

    • Eileen

Me neither. Maybe it’s your browser?

    • Victoria

No it happens to me too. I can’t press the start button for slideshows.

Some slideshows on The Gloss seem to work, so I don’t think it’s my browser – I usually see the slideshows on Blisstree just fine as well.

Oh my goodness. I thought the space between the first model’s thighs was a knife blade coming out of the Tom Ford bottle. And I was briefly scared for her insides.

Any time I can see Julianne Moore naked = win. She could be hawking jelly beans. I don’t care. Win.

I wish there were ads that showed men in equal states of nakedness! It’s only fair. If women are going to be objectified for perfume and watch ads, then by all means, men should be too! I’d love to see more men showing some skin!

Yes: it’s appropriate. You know why? Because there’s nothing wrong with nudity.

I think just b said all there is to say on the subject

Excuse me ma’am, do you have some cologne I could borrow? Wait! Ummm, nevermind.

I feel so sorry for the poor animal in that ad. LEAVE NATURE ALONE. Let the poor cub live in it’s natural habitat. Poor thing needs it’s mother.
