My feelings are this: There are few things better than watching fireworks while drinking. So rarely can an adult say “Ooooooooohhh!” and mean it.

You’re making me wish I had work on the fourth!

What does it say about me if I plan to light my marijuana cigarette with a flaming American flag? WHAT KIND OF PERSON AM I, JENNIFER?

I’m a mix. I have to work part of the day. But I’m seeing fireworks tomorrow which is pretty awesome!
I’m also not very patriotic, so I don’t care much about the “yay America” thing.

i hate fireworks, i hate that a bunch of jerks blow shit up all weekend long in my neighborhood and give me anxiety and scare my cats. i hate being dragged to roof parties with a bunch of drunk losers to try to catch a glimpse of a few flashing lights over some brooklyn buildings. no way man, not this year.

I absolutely LOVE fireworks!!! How could anyone NOT love them? That thought is absurd to me…Fireworks are beautiful (SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!) they bring people together. Its a holiday thats not about buying expensive or even cheap gifts for people. Its a holiday during the best time of year (summer)and everyone gets a present that costs little to no money and is delightful and spectacular to watch.

4th of July is OUR holiday. Did you know that our country is the only country with a known birthday? I feel that is pretty significant, and significant enough to celebrate it every year, with fireworks.

John Adams has been quoted, saying:
“I believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival…” “It ought to be celebrated by pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other…”

Adams was one of our great founding fathers and these were his wishes. Without these great people, like John Adams in our nation’s history, you and I wouldn’t even exist. At least not here, where we have the freedom to like or dislike fireworks. And thus to or to not blow them up! ;)
