Alison Brie And Gillian Jacobs Create Soft Lesbian Pornography For GQ

Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs from the TV show “Community” did a sexy, faux lesbian pin-up photo shoot for GQ‘s August issue, and like our friends over at Jezebel, I’m feeling a bit conflicted about it. On the one hand, I’m a huge fan of classic pin-up photography, and anything that recreates Bettie Page’s hot fetish photos is pretty cool with me. Also, the two ladies seem like they enjoyed themselves. This video makes it look like lots of fun!

On the other hand, I am getting a little tired of seeing lad mags play up the “girl-on-girl action is hot, but only when they’re doing it for our benefit” thing. Also, the way they framed it was very Girls Gone Wild. “Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs Did This Lesbian Scene for Us,” the headline reads. The sub-headline: “And all we had to do was ask nicely. The hilarious and hilariously gorgeous girls of ‘Community’ are such good sports, aren’t they?” It’s as if lesbian action is only hot if the girls are reluctantly coaxed into doing it against their will. They’re not real lesbians, see? They’re only doing it to get your dick hard. Personally, I think it’s a lot hotter when two women get it on because they’re actually into it, but I am one of those insane sex-positive feminists who buys Tristan Taormino’s DVDs and gets off on people who are doing sexy things for the camera because they genuinely enjoy it. (Granted, I’m a woman, which makes it easier to insert myself into a lesbian fantasy without having to pretend that all lesbians are secretly straight or bi.) What do you make of it?

Sorry! This poll is now closed.

The Gloss: Yesterday’s News- TODAY! You’re friends at Jezebel covered this yesterday, as did every other site. I don’t mean to be catty but this is a great site, and I always enjoy reading you girls take on everything but why couldn’t someone from the gloss report on this yesterday? or find a new angle if you were going to post it a day later to make it seem more relevant? obviously you are going to respond that i’m a troll and that this is relevant because it happened yesterday, but this is the internet and you have to be a lot faster than this to be credible. I’m not saying you’ll never be people, but I am just offering this comment as constructive criticism.

You have a typo after the word ‘reading’ that I thought you should know about. Everything on this site is genius. Who cares if this story was yesterday’s news? I get what you’re saying about the internet but some people aren’t on it every day. I work on the web all day but I never have time to read other people’s shit until the next morning. Do you want to give Jezebel and the other sites cookies? If so, I will gladly send you their addresses. :)

Men find attractive female-on-female action arousing. That is all that matters. We have final say on everything. Ask James Brown.

I’m just going to reiterate that I hate the phrase “classic pinup.” Pose in your underwear or fully naked if you want – that’s cool – but don’t dress it up (no pun intended, although I now find it kind of funny) by saying what is, essentially, “this isn’t the same as posing in sexually suggestive poses in my underwear because I’m being cool and retro and I am a classic pinup, not just any old naked woman.”

Minus the whole douchey language thing (guess which I voted?) just from that picture I’m actually rather feeling I wish they really were into girls and I wish I was tucked somewhere between them. Does that make me a bad person?
