Nicola Formichetti–creative director at Thierry Mugler but best known stateside as the stylist to a certain famous singing clotheshorse–made a pretty stupid statement recently about how he doesn’t like fat people. After some public repenting (like insisting he really does like fat people!), the shirt storm died down. And now…
Formichetti told Elle UK what he thinks of industry veterans:
“I think old people should just be old and go away…It’s not about being in the industry for ten years anymore: it’s about good ideas.”
Who does he mean? Lagerfeld? Prada? Maybe Lady Gaga’s friend and frequent collaborator Gaultier?
