Jessica Alba Reveals Her Post-Baby Weight Loss Plan (‘Starving’ Herself)

There’s a person inside of Jessica Alba, which is a huge inconvenience to her hotness. In fact, it sounds like she’s already bracing for that awful moment when the baby is born and she’s left with all its excess weight. She told Lucky magazine:

“I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200 calorie meals delivered. But I also work out, so basically I’m starving. It sucks. I drink a lot of water. [...] In the gym, I have like five things to distract me: TV, iPod, magazines. Working partners are good, too, so you can chat and not just drown in your own misery. Sorry, does that sound bad? I just hate working out.”

Look, it doesn’t sound like Alba plans to actually “starve” herself, but it does sound like she’s under a tremendous amount of pressure to lose the weight of carrying a child. And that sucks.

      I’m glad she didn’t perpetuate the ever popular celebrity lie that “oh, I just breastfed and played with the baby and the weight just FELL off”

      I’m also glad she told the truth- losing baby weight is hard and just breast feeding and “trying to keep up with the baby” are rarely sufficient. Especially since most celebrities lose the weight before the baby can even roll over let alone be mobile enough to make their parents run after them.
