Pajamas On The Red Carpet: How Do You Feel?

Rachel Roy is a fashion designer. Because of that, it appears as though she’s granted some leeway when it comes to self-expression via clothing…a fact she proved when she showed up at the red carpet premiere of “One Day” wearing pajamas, glasses and her hair pulled back in a ponytail.

As if to say: “you’re welcome for showing up here, I was about to fucking go to bed.”

To be fair, she also had on heels, make-up and jewelry, and was holding a bag, so I think it’s safe to say that she wasn’t actually about to go to bed. According to InStyle, she wore the outfit as a message to her daughter (and, presumably, young girls everywhere):

“I have an eleven-year-old and I like to show her that it’s OK to take fashion risks and to have fun and tell a story with fashion,” Roy [said]. “I tweeted this weekend that you can’t have style without confidence and I really do genuinely believe that.”

The way she did it, to be silly and fun with herself, I think is fine. But what bothers me is when people wear gross, ill-fitting pjs to run errands in. I can’t count how many gross looking pajamas I’ve seen in Walmart, and how many times I’ve seen people run to the bank in slippers. WIERD!

This is rather a great statement ! And pretty in your face fashion pie for all those uptight fashion-fanatics who detest pajamas.

I think she looks cute and love the subtle shade of her Pjs. I’ve found more such amazing ones at:

This looks ridiculous. And yeah, I get what she was TRYING to do, but it still looks totally stupid.
