January Jones Does Not Scare Grown Men

Earlier this week, we let you know about some comments that Jared Gilmore, who plays January Jones’ on-screen son in “Mad Men,” made about how scary Jones is. Gilmore suggested that whoever they hire as his replacement after he leaves for another show should “be careful” around her, because she’s “not as approachable as the others.”

While that’s not particularly good for Jones, or for humankind in general, someone has come to her rescue, and that someone is John Slattery, who plays Don Draper’s boss on the show. In an interview with E! Online, Slattery had this to say:

“Well, it’s an intimidating character,” he told E!. “I mean, that’s the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a seven-year-old boy [or] her son.”

In other words, toughen up, Gilmore.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- stop speculating as to her personality. Who gives a flying fuck? She’s a working woman and she doesn’t have to suck up to the media or her co-workers, or anyone. Leave her alone.
