Gallery: The Most Bizarre And Beautiful Looks From Alexander McQueen Spring 2012

Yesterday, Sarah Burton presented yet another unsettling, hauntingly beautiful collection for the house of Alexander McQueen, and explored some of the label’s favorites tropes–gothic romance and fetishism–in the process. The palette was identifiably McQueen as well: mostly black, with dramatic monochrome and shocks of startling color (like coral!). Finally, the headgear was particularly special: hoods and masks in a riot of intricate beading and feathers that were equal parts fairy tale and nightmare. A bunch of details and many of the collection’s beautiful gowns ahead.

Thank you, Sarah Burton, for just being awesome.

McQueen is still 50% or more of why I love fashion.

Ugly nothing to do with McQueen. Just close the business.
