We first heard about plus-size model Robyn Lawley when she landed Italian Vogue‘s lovely cover and accompanying Steven Klein-shot editorial, “Belle vere,” alongside Candice Huffine, Tara-Lynn, and Marquita Pring. Now Lawley has ventured further into top model territory by landing one of the 14 French Revue de Modes Fall 2011 covers.
What’s exciting about her star spot is that the covers feature otherwise straight size ladies like Marloes Horst and Lisanne de Jong, while Lawley’s is just thrown in amongst the rest, looking glamorous in John Galliano and lacking any self-congratulartory headlines about how they’ve added a plus girl. They were shot by Thierry le Gouès.
Now, we just can’t wait for the day when we don’t have to mention it like it’s a big deal!
