Marilyn Monroe Dress Fetches Hundreds Of Thousands

A dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in the 1954 Western flick “River of No Return” sold over the weekend to a private buyer for $504,000. The dress is a green, Tinkerbell-ish number that Monroe donned to portray a gambler’s wife while singing “I’m Gonna File My Claim.” In the iconic scene, Monroe can be seen dancing around a piano and getting fresh with a tent pole, well before pole dancing became a common form of recreation for housewives everywhere.
