We like to poke fun at Christian Louboutin every now and again, whether it’s for making pricey pumps out of trash or stamping some hieroglyphs on a shoe and calling it a bar or not knowing how female orgasms work. In any event, the eccentric designer has designed a pump called the “Lion Paw” and it’s garnered some celebrity fans like Blake Lively and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Now, at this point, Lively thinks that the only shoes in the world are manufactured by Louboutin and considers putting on a red sole to be 80% of planning an outfit. As for Parker, this isn’t the first time she’s donned animal-inspired heels (remember those much-maligned cloven-hoofed Margiela pumps?)… so who the hell else are these for?
The “Lion Paw” style was originally part of the Fall 2011 collection, so this may be old news if you’re a rabid follower of Louboutin goings-on but we still want to know: would you wear these? Do they remind you of a creepily lifelike version of those horrible toe-shoes that outdoorsy types wear? Doesn’t this make you think of Aslan and how he suffered? Is this what he died for?
