Kelly Preston surprised a lot of people when she got pregnant last year at 48. Some people think she used a surrogate. We don’t want TheGloss to become the de facto celeb pregnancy conspiracy blog, so we’ll just let skepticism quietly permeate the following post.
Anyway! Preston and husband John Travolta welcomed their son Benjamin last year, which means it’s time for tabloids to start hounding Preston about her post-pregnancy diet and exercise routine. And, consequently, it’s time for some People headlines. Preston claims to have lost almost 40 lbs!
“I lost 39 lbs., have more energy than I had 20 years ago – and I feel amazing,” Preston says. “I’m going to be turning 50 next year – holy s–––! Hey, 50 is the new 30.”
That is very impressive! A baby at 48 and a 40 lb weight loss at 49? Preston is a genetic miracle! Or… she has some shit to promote.
Start your eyes rolling in 3… 2… 1… Preston credits her weight loss to a program created by friend and fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley, a program for which Preston is the goddamn spokesperson:
“I was so excited when my best friend created Rescue Me,” says Preston of the diet plan’s organic supplement system that targets cravings and “boosts natural energy,” according to the Organic Liaison website. “It’s pretty much the most genius thing ever.”
Promoting a product for which your are the spokesperson? A program–we’ll be charitable–linked to scientology? Yes, we’d say that’s pretty genius, too.
