Brooks Brothers doesn’t just want to sell you ties in red and/or blue this season, they also want to teach you about holiday magic! Which is defined by “sheep, singing Jingle Bells”. Singing in childlike voices in this ad, while wearing scarves (some of which have patterns!) and moving their mouths into some kind of of photoshopped smiles. If you ignore the eerie unreality of it all, it’s almost as cute as when Bergdorf’s teamed up with the humane society. What we’re taking away from this is that if you’re a store who caters to chilly WASPs, you can really cozy up your image with the use of non-wasp creatures. Also, this is the only acceptable kind of Christmas song.
