TheGloss Dating

Happy New Year! After you’ve congratulated yourself on making it through another year, perhaps you should sit down and plan out just what you want to get out of 2012. If procuring someone special is high up on your list of wants and needs, then HowAboutWe is just the ticket you need to get into the carnival of love. Yes, love is a carnival. If you think about it, it does sort of make you feel like you’re on the Cyclone at Coney Island.

Although some of us might cringe at the thought of lying on a grassy knoll and reading poetry to a significant other, if you’re a romantic, then that sort of date probably sounds just like heaven on earth. Le sigh.

Lord Byron may be dead and Mr. Darcy may just be a character trapped away in a Jane Austen novel, but believe it or not there are still romantics left in the world. To prove that there are actually real live men who believe in romancing a lady and sweeping her off her feet, we’ve compiled 10 romantic dates that were posted on 10 romantic dates that were posted on HowAboutWe this past week. Click on the ones you like to learn more about these potential suitors, and get ready to feel sensitive.

What’s up with these guys? How about a college buddy’s wedding reception party on New Year’s Eve? Yeah two nights ago in Vermont. His bride covert blind dates me with her co-worker. Turns out she’s French-Irish American, I’m half, both of us with the French on our moms’ side. She’s in her early to mid 40s and looks very fine, hikes, skates and crosscountry skis, things I also like to do. Italian American wedding. Food’s great; music excellent: godfather classics to hip hop soul, the latter just phenomenal…’the dj’s got us falling in love……’ :) I always dig Soul. Then right after midnight – yes, it was a very warm kiss – she asks me if I want to go to one of her friend’s New Year’s Eve party – where we help kill the remaining case of Harpoon IPAs. After that things got very romantic – and yes, once you’ve really been there, that’s all you want to know.
