Madonna Wore Givenchy For Her Truly Awful Halftime Show Performance

Some of you may be aware that Madonna performed at the Halftime Show of last night’s Immorality Bowl Super Bowl. We knew enough to expect a medley because do you like songs? Fuck you.

We did not, however, know it was going to be so listless and awkward. Madonna moved in a strange slow-motion throughout, did some inexplicable yoga and mugged with those two guys who are related to Berry Gordy, was upstaged by Nicki Minaj (fair), subsequently upstaged by M.I.A.‘s middle finger, and then invited Cee Lo up on stage to vibrate alongside her as they all donned sequined robes and lip-synced to that song you love.

Madonna wore several Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci looks, with a head piece by Philip Treacy and assorted jewelry by Bulgari.

    Madonna looked hot and I loved her boots. I thought it was one of the better half time shows in quite a while. She did have a couple of mis-steps, like when she almost stumbled of the top of the bleachers. I’m glad she caught herself.

    The big downside of the internet is that there is no pre-requisite for intelligence to start a website. Keep spreading the stupidity. Congrats!

    I’m really not sure what everyone’s problem is with her performance. The woman is 53 years old and moves better than ANY 23-25 year old I know, and in far better shape than all the haters. Singing in a football stadium is tremendously difficult and you’d be hard pressed to find any person do it flawlessly. Besides she included slacklining which is one of the cooler alternative sports out there today! Haters are gonna hate I guess, but Maddona rocks and her half time show was better than any show in the past 5 or 6 years.

      If you don’t know any 25 year olds that move better than Madonna, you need to get out more. Madonna lumbered around, slow and clumsy. Go out to any club or gym, and almost EVERYONE is moving better than that. The weirdest thing of all, is she had no rythmn or “life” in her movment, it was like a wet, soggy blanket.

    Eh, I didn’t see it since I didn’t watch the game and judging by the photos (and my knowledge of Madonna) it’s clear I didn’t miss much.

    She’s a talentless hack. A marketing GENIUS, but talentless hack.

    I can’t fathom how anybody under 60 could be put off by Madonna’s halftime show. She absolutely ROCKED that place. I could care less about a rapper flipping the bird or saying things you hear every day.

    Madonna put on a great show and is really the Reigning Queen of Pop(wait your turn Lady Gaga)

      the show “idea” was great,, but she could hardly move properly,,, its was sad, actually. Of course she looks great for 50 something…but I would hope someone told me,, when it was time…peace

    I thought Madonna rocked it! I loved the entrance and that version of Vogue. She definitely put on a good show–something entertaining for everyone. She didn’t move qutie as energetically as she does in her tours (see Confessions Tour, Reinvention, or Sticky and Sweet), but I know she recently suffered a hamstring injury.

    The show was bizarre and awful. She looked clumsy and weird and old fashioned. The show seemed really out of date and dumb.
