A Look Back At Whitney Houston’s Fashion Evolution

When the world found out last night that Whitney Houston had died at the age of 48, you could almost hear the collective gasp. That gasp was then followed by questions as the world tried to understand how she could have been taken from us so early.

From her debut album in 1985 and through the 80′s and 90′s, Houston’s voice proved to be one of the greatest voices to ever grace the planet. She was talented in a way that there are no words and her influence on not just the music industry, but on little girls everywhere who wanted to grow up and be singers, too.

Sadly, within the last decade things for Houston became rocky. After her marriage to Bobby Brown, it was rumored that Houston and Brown were into drugs and on many occasions, she would show up to events either late, rail-thin or out of her mind. It was a heartbreaking transformation to witness of woman who had been given the “good girl” stamp earlier in her career.

However, we’re not going to talk about the lows in Houston’s life. She, like so many of us, had her demons with which she struggled and it’s not our place to judge. At this point, it’s only our place to mourn the loss of a real talent, a tortured soul and the imprint she left on this world.

Here’s a look at Whitney Houston’s fashion evolution.

I was extremely saddened by Whitney’s passing. She was an absolute inspiration to young talents.

I remember growing up saying “I wish I can sing like Whitney Houston”. I still do though. What a lost to the entertainment industry.
