“In” Lipstick Color Has An Awful Name

pepto pink lipstick

Here it is on Blake Lively!

It’s called “Pepto-Pink.”

Which initially sounds fine, as I know that both Pepto-Bimol and this lipstick are indeed pink. However, when I think of Pepto Bismol, I guess I think of Pepto-Bismol. You know, the one that provides relief for  “upset stomach and other symptoms including, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, and indigestion.” Now when I see Blake Lively’s lips, I think of diarrhea. And now I think of cholera. And now I am thinking of widespread death.

And, to be honest, this shade realy doesn’t look like it’s doing Blake’s complexion any favors.

That shade is HORRIFYING. It’s not going to look good on ANYONE, let alone Boobs Legsly.

It’s more early-90s Barbie pink than Pepto anyway. Pepto’s lighter. (What? My stomach’s all fucked up today.)

But yeah. Now I think of her and I think of diarrhea. Though I may have before, to be fair.

The color of my bathroom walls is ‘Pepto-Pink.’ Great for brightening up the loo and appropriately titled to boot. But as for lipstick? No thanks. But I do think it’s rather fitting for Ms. Lively.

I actually love the color. Maybe not on her, in this particular picture, but in general. I would definitely wear it, poopy name or no.

That looks like more of a fuschia; I agree with Beccathecyborg that Pepto is a bit more pale. Like this Pepto-Bismol ice cream: http://joannecasey.blogspot.com/2011/02/pepto-bismol-ice-cream.html

Anyways, it doesn’t do much for her. I think that shade of pink looks wonderful on very dark and very light skin tones, but not so much on the medium-golden (plus the blonde hair) tone she has. Also, she really needed to utilize some lipliner because her bottom lip looks a bit feathered and unbalanced.
