Gallery: Full Sleeves Are In Bloom Again

You’ve probably noticed a proliferation of yeti arms in recent seasons… and, if the Fall 2012 runways are to be believed, they show no signs of slowing. However, one thing we noticed at the NYFW shows was the enormous variety of sleeves. Obviously, they’re going to be a staple for Fall (it’s chilly, after all) but they won’t be your garden variety arm covering: designers like Thakoon, Peter Som (above), and Rodarte showed unexpected proportions… while known minimalists like Nariso Rodriguez played around with surprising volume.

      Peter Som = Jedi chic

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking!

Alright, here’s a question. Unless you’re a size 4 or smaller, won’t these just make you look super round? I mean, these sleeves are interesting, but they don’t seem to be flattering at all… Right?

So far, the full arm theme is hideously executed. Even the smaller sized ladies look like awful. Back to the drawing board, designers. That ain’t fashion, that’s assault.
