Did American Apparel Photoshop A White Hand On A Black Model?

The eagle-eyed kids at Photoshop Disasters spotted the above inconsistency in an online American Apparel shot: did the beleaguered brand accidentally slap a white hand onto a black body?

We’re 50/50, actually: American Apparel makes plenty of sheer shirts and, ridiculous though they may be, this is also the company that brought us assless tights and paired sheer bodysuits with “disco pants” and berets. We think this is just as likely an absurd styling decision as it as digital revisionism.

What do you think?

Well, this is a company that hires it’s sales associates based on looks and whose president has a slew of sexual harrasment suits filed against him, so I wouldn’t putsomething like this past them. But from the looks of it, I’m gonna say it’s some sort of tacky body stocking. :/

i’m like 99 percent certain that it’s some sort of sheer leotard. i saw this on photoshopdisasters and then it went viral and i didnt even know what the “disaster” was

I’m gonna say it was on purpose. Most obvious way to represent that these pants are so awesome that someone ELSE will want to stick their hands in them. I think it was their way of trying to be clever…fail.

That’s realllllly obviously a sheer top……you can tell where it’s pressed against her stomach muscles. Skin doesn’t photograph like that; sheer crappy AA clothes, however, do. And you can clearly see that the belly button is covered by sheer fabric. WHY IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION???
