Cameron Diaz is the newest famous face of fancy, celeb-endorsed watch brand Tag Heuer. The Swiss brand has, in turn, unleashed some truly delightful copy on the world. Over on their website, they’ve branded Diaz a “beautiful rebel,” and before you go using your brain (“What is she rebelling against?”) shut up and enjoy this:
Cameron Diaz doesn’t play it safe. This risk-taking quality makes her the perfect fit with the Swiss Avant-Garde brand. TAG Heuer’s daring time-keeping devices challenge every principle in watch-making; Ms. Diaz’s unorthodox body of work challenges every principle in the making of a star. Cameron Diaz is dangerously more than just a sexy blonde.
Did you laugh until you convulsed like we did? No? Fair. Anyway, we figured we’d do them a favor and rewrite it:
Cameron Diaz is tall, thin and blonde like a model. In fact, she actually was a model before her breakthrough role as “Love Interest In Sausage Casing Dress” opposite Jim Carrey in The Mask. These conventionally attractive qualities make her the perfect fit with the Swiss Avant-Garde brand. TAG Heuer’s daring time-keeping devices challenge every principle in watch-making; Ms. Diaz was once in a Charlie Kaufman movie, but you mostly know her from such line-toeing pieces of big budget Hollywood shit as Charlie’s Angels, What Happens In Vegas and The Holiday. Cameron Diaz and her career have almost exclusively been defined by her sexy blondeness.
We think that’s quite an improvement.
