Proof That Madonna Still Has ‘It’ At 53: ABC Just Banned Her Ass

What will come of our world if there were to be no more Madonna? Even when she’s not out promoting a new record or touring, she’s still such a relevant part of the pop culture of our society that she’s practically an integral part of our daily lives. I’m not even joking — she’s fucking Madonna. Whether you love her or hate her, you can’t escape the impact that she has had on generations.

While some performers lose their spark when they get older and controversy becomes something of their past, Madonna doesn’t roll that way. True to form, the ad for her new perfume, Truth or Dare, has been banned from the ABC network until after 9pm. The network has claimed the ad is a little much for their viewers. In other words: put some clothes on that woman!

A source told told the NYPost: “ABC viewed the ad [and] came back with a list of changes. They say they want her bra digitally made bigger, and to extend higher to cover more of her chest, and her corset longer to cover more of her bottom. ABC also wants to cut another suggestive scene where Madonna writhes around.”

But even once the changes will be made, ABC will still be sticking to playing it only after 9pm. As we all know a woman writhing around, calling herself a “bad girl” is definitely a negative influence on society — especially one that is shocked so easily! Cleavage causes people to run into the streets and do horrible things like kick benches and overthrow garbage cans!

But good news for the audience of The View — ABC has deemed it the only daytime slot that can withstand the “racy” ways of this Madonna ad. So if you’re in that group, you won’t have to force yourself to stay up past 9pm after all. Also if you’re in that group, you should be aware that there are support groups out there to help.

Personally, I don’t see “racy” in this commercial. I see Madonna, in all her Madonna glory rolling around, promoting her new perfume and being the same woman she was in 1984 when she pulled that shit during her performance of “Like A Virgin,” at MTV Video Music Awards. It’s been almost 30 years and we’re still getting our panties in a bunch when a woman embraces her sexuality (even if it is to make a buck) in such a “scandalous” way? Is there really no hope for evolving past our Puritan roots at all?

Do you think this ad is too much for daytime play?

The most “racy” part is where she swishes her tongue back and forth, and that only happens for like 2 seconds. It’s all so choppy, you can barely see anything. Plus…black & white. Everyone knows black & white instantly turns soft-core porn into classy high-art.

What the fuckin tragedy is is that there are way more damaging things being viewed on daytime television like….the View.

Do you know how many afternoons I came home from school and my mother would start grilling me about how many hits of E I was on and what boys I was blowing on the school bus??? I was in highschool…I smoked cigarettes behind the cafeteria and everyone thought that was “hardcore”. The sex and drugs didn’t come until I moved my ass out.

So thanks a lot, Daytime TV. You made my mother a babbling idiot and therefore fucked with MY prime teenage years. Fuck you.

She’s aiming to resurrect her image by pushing the envelope as far as she can. Her get-go tactic from the start of her career. I still think it’s ironic for ABC to have a problem with her slutty cleavage since Dancing With The Stars and BCG offer more than enough sexual images themselves.
