The Red Carpet Style Evolution Of Carrie Underwood

A lot of websites track the “style evolution” of a particular star. We prefer not to, feeling that evolution is a big word*. Moreover, few stars have really changed the way we understand red carpets, though an arid group they are: Tilda Swinton, Cate Blanchett and, for better or worse, Lady Gaga. They’re risk-takers, individuals with a unique aesthetic vision, unafraid to experiment and even fail. But, after seeing Carrie Underwood in sparkly gold Abed Mahfouz at this weekend’s Academy of Country Music Awards, we knew it was time. Without further ado, here is the red carpet style evolution of Carrie Underwood.

Even her hair looks pretty much the exact same.

Maybe in a year or two she’ll have some All American Girl Next Door hate on and chop it all off like Michelle Williams and start dressing like Bruno Mars.

Funny–I always laugh that Taylor Swift is constantly in champagne/gold glittery gowns; didn’t realize Carrie Underwood was in on it with her!

Carrie is a beautiful girl. Her inner beauty makes her glow (along with being a newlywed). the girls and I, at our sorority house, love her style. She always looks classy. Thanks for the article.
