19th Century Lady Archetypes And Their Modern Equivalents

We’ve happened upon this book called “Sketches of Young Ladies.” Published in 1838, it was modeled off of Dicken’s Sketches by Boz, and was basically an encyclopedia of “ladies you should expect to meet.” The best part is probably the fact that it’s made us realize that there were manic pixie dream girls in 1838. Let’s check some of the types and sort of arbitrarily see if they have modern equivalents in 21st century pop culture. (As always, shame us, come up with better examples, etc).
