Pornhub Thinks That Being Beaten Made Rihanna Love Porn? (!) (?) (!)

There’s a question mark in this title because I keep trying to find an interpretation of this that I don’t find staggeringly offensive? Let’s all read the press release together:

I have no problem whatsoever with Pornhub. I just have problems with them essentially stating “don’t beat women, but, you know, if Chris Brown beat Rihanna so hard she had to turn to Pornhub to escape her nightmarish situation – awesome!” Basically, the implication seems to be if you’re kind of squeamish around porn, the best way to get in touch with your sensual side is to have a partner who beats the hell out of you. Which is – wait – staggeringly offensive. ! ? ! ?

I don’t think it’s QUITE as bad. I think they are saying:

Chris Brown abused Rihanna -> Rihanna temporarily turns away from men -> still needs sensuality in her life -> watches Pornhub more.

    maybe?

I think it’s the reverse. Rihanna watches Pornhub -> because she still needs sensuality in her life -> because she temporarily turned away from men -> because Chris Brown abused her. They’re saying the reason for her watching Pornhub is because she was abused, and not because porn is fun itself.
